A Commitment to Video

Before you read this article, make sure and check out the video at the top. In a previous article (Marketing vs Eductation) we talked about a new and better way to reach people with great content. This video above from Think Roofing is a great example of that. The goal is to make yourself a thought leader in your industry. As you can see in the video he is talking about common misconceptions with insurance work. When someone has a question and goes to look online do you think they are going to read a lengthy article or watch a video? What company is the person going to choose? They are going to choose the company that is the thought leader in that industry. Ads and commercials are a thing of the past. The funny part is this roofing company has a better grasp on marketing than almost anyone you will meet.

Think Roofing just launched a new website built specifically to hold lots of content and with a strong commitment to video and think roofingeducation. SEO(search engine optimization) is a big deal in the roofing industry. With hundreds and hundreds of roofers just in Kansas City it takes a lot to differentiate yourself. Now with Google’s new Penguin a Panda updates they are looking for that unique and great content with a strong focus on video. Video is 50 times more likely to get you on the front page of Google.  Keep an eye on these guys in the next couple of months. Watch as they continually build up their content especially in video and start to rise in Google rankings.
